Wanda E. Robertson Obituary (1940 - 2023)

Wanda E. Robertson, age 82, of Elwood, IN, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023, at Tri Star Centennial Woman's Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. Wanda was born July 21, 1940, in Tennessee to the late Roy J. and Naomi Ruth Capps. On August 19, 1963, she married Teddy "Ted" Robertson, and they shared 53 years of marriage together before Ted's passing on Dec. 11, 2016.Wanda retired from Red Gold Corp. where she worked in production for several years. She loved to spend time with her family, especially all of her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all. Wanda is survived by three sons, Michael Robertson and Charles "Chuck" Robertson both of Elwood, IN, and Randal (Sandy) Robertson of TN; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Loy Capps of Elwood and Ray Capps of TN; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband Wanda was preceded in death by her grandson, Dillon Robertson; sisters, Jane Smith (husband Leon Smith) of Elwood, and Ruby DePaolo (husband Frank DePaolo) of Elwood; and brothers, RJ Capps of Tennessee, Jack Capps, (wife Phyllis Capps) of Tennessee, and Coy Capps of Elwood. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 2 pm at the Elwood Cemetery with Pastor Nate Warren officiating.
