William B "Bill" Altherr

William B. "Bill" Altherr, age 58, of Elwood, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.Bill was born on April 14, 1955, in Weisbaden, Germany to the late Michael and Hilda (Jung) Altherr.
Bill married Terri (McClintock) Altherr on June 5, 1976.Bill graduated from Wendell L. Willkie High School in 1973. He attended I.U. Kokomo and later finished atPurdue University with an Electrical Engineer Degree.He had been employed for many years at Delphi in Kokomo and transferred to the G.M. Truck Plant in Fort Wayne where he retired in 2009 after 30 years of service.He was a member of the UAW # 292 and the Omega Christian Church.Bill was a loving husband and caring father.He will be sadly missed.
William is survived by his loving Wife, of 38 years, Terri (McClintock) Altherr of Elwood, Daughter, Amanda Altherr of Kokomo, Grandson, Alexander Grayson Altherr, Brother, Robert & wife (Kay) Altherr of Elwood,Four Sisters, Mary Altherr of Sheridan, Bernice & husband (Allen) Stiner of Elwood, Bernadine Musick of Windfall, and Michelle & husband (Shawn)Upton of Windfall, Several nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his Father, Michael Altherr, Mother, Hilda Altherr.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana with Pastor Neal Brown officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the funeral home.

The family request in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Omega Christian Church.
