William J Nickles

William J. Nickles, age 75, lifelong resident of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Providence Health Care in Anderson. He was born on December 25, 1940, in Frankfort, IN to the late Samuel and Helen (Myer) Nickles.
On September 3, 1967, he married Sharon (Lundey) Nickles and she passed away on May 27, 2013. Bill retired in 1995, after 33 years service from Delco Remy. He was a member of U.A.W. #662.
Bill is survived by his three daughters, Sherri (John) Fleener of Goshen, IN, Elaine Trueblood of Elwood, and Cindy Chandler of Alexandria, 9 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, three sisters, Georgia Cole and Donna Chambliss both of Elwood, and Helen Gore of Marion, Several nieces nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his Father, Samuel Nickles, Mother, Helen Nickles, Wife, Sharon Nickles, Son, William J. Nickles, Jr., Brothers, Sam Nickles, James Nickles, and Brother, Curt Nickles.
Funeral service celebrating Bill's life will be at 4:00 pm Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana with Pastor Curt Nickles officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Forrestville Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM , at Dunnichay Funeral Home.
